ICAI earns its revenues from students & members.
ICAI incurs expenditure on account of salaries on regular staff
and out sourced staff in addition to some contractual staff. I came across
certain qualified CA staff are employed at various places for a meager
salary of around 1 lakh (hahahaha) per month without assigning
any major work to them.........ICAI takes care of certain members families as
charity although not in the manner of charity
to illustrate, one person is employed at CoE, Hyderabad as head who is
paid, as per sources, more than a lakh or around the same figure but not a
regular employee of ICAI - contractual / outsourced. He has no powers w.r.t
signing of cheques or any major decision matters but is heading CoE and is paid
well..............
On an enquiry, am told by Delhi sources that there are several such
others employed by ICAI and also informed that the HR policy of ICAI requires
utility audit..............am told most of the past presidents have contributed
to the wastage on this account ............names of past presidents with-held by
me............
I am surprised to know that when there are excess staff available with
ICAI, still ICAI branches employ outsourced staff / contractual staff.
Further, staff working at branches who are not on the rolls of ICAI
are paid low while their counterparts working elsewhere are paid good
salaries.
I wish ICAI council looks into this matter and re-organize the staff
positions and also restructure the HR as a whole and also works in the
direction of having regular staff instead of contractual staff who are aged / at
the age of retirement. I also wish, ICAI absorbs all the outsourced /
contractual staff working over years at lower levels instead of shunning them
and going for new staff............have some humanity ............
why I said "Iwish" in the above para is because, it has become a routine
matter that if I tell to council members 2+2 = 4, they will try to prove that it
can not be 4 under any circumstances or will simply ignore the
matter.
I look forward for cutting of wasteful expenditure the utility of which
is futile for ICAI by our Council and ICAI and a better HR policy is developed
...........
