dynamic Company in the International Tax Compliance and Reporting group
responsible for managing and directing all India federal and local
income and non-income tax matters. This position reports directly to the
Tax Director in the US and has two direct reports in India. The right
candidate will be well versed in Indian taxation and will be able to
effectively summarize income and non-income tax risks and opportunities
to NCR's US based tax team. In addition, the person will have day to day
visibility to NCR's Senior Leadership team in India and will be a
highly valued member of the NCR India finance organization. Key Areas of
Responsibility • File India federal and local income tax returns •
Manage India non-income taxes such as VAT and Service Tax • Compute
India quarterly tax provision under US GAAP • Assistance with all areas
of India tax controversy, with an emphasis on transfer pricing
controversy • Experience dealing with the appellate process in India,
including the DRP’s operating mechanism and second level appeals under
the ITAT • Experience in handling transfer pricing cases under India’s
Mutual Agreement Procedure (MAP) • Monitor variances between the tax
provision and tax return and communicate those variances to management •
Responsible for continuous process improvements in the tax compliance
area • Assist in preparing transfer pricing documentation • Support all
US based tax initiatives, including merges and acquisitions • Carry out
special assignments as required • Identify and execute tax planning
strategies • Manage withholding tax compliance on domestic and foreign
remittances Basic Requirements • Undergraduate Degree in Accounting or
Finance • Chartered Accountant or equivalent • Strong analytic and
technical compliance and provision skills • 7+ years of corporate tax or
public accounting experience • Strong English skills • Goal oriented,
sense of urgency, and attention to detail • Ability to establish
priorities and to establish and meet deadlines • Self-starter, must be
able to work independently due to Corporate Tax reporting structure •
Experience with vertically integrated companies a plus, i.e.,
manufacturing, distribution, and services
Chartered Accountant or equivalent
