With public holidays for Lohri and Makar Shankranti on 14th and 15th in respective states and fourth Saturday assessee as well as chartered accountants are left with mere 14 days to file GSTR 9 and
GSTR 9C. What is even surprising is that FM through tweeter handler extended date for filing GSTR -1 without late fee for the period 2017-19 upto 17th January 2020. This has left chartered accountants to wait upto 17 th January to finalise their audit form GSTR 9C to reduce additional liabilities arising out of ITC mismatch with form 2A which gets automatically updated once left out GSTR 1 are uploaded by assessees.
If CAs wait upto 17 th January than they are left with even lesser time of just 11days to upload their GSTR 9C of respective assessees.
