Internet has become a part of daily life and its penetration after it price reduction by telcos in 2016 has increased in an unprecedented level. What one is forgetting though is the cost involved in running and maintaining internet. Following Table is self explanatory on how one can save money by just switching from mobile to broadband internet at homes:

Assumptions for Above calculation:
1) Broadband cost per month is based on current unlimited plans offered by BSNL and MTNL including GST with no free calls.

2) Mobile internet cost is based on Rs.153 per month and multiplied by no. of users.

For better savings only one unlimited internet mobile number should be used per household and other members should access the internet via a hotspot.

Believe it or not telcos are just killing the competition through tariff war and are waiting for an opportunity to charge you higher tariffs per mobile number.
