As you all are aware that Committee for Capacity Building of CA Firms and Small & Medium Practitioners (CCBCAF & SMP) has always been proactive to strengthen practice profile of CA firms as well as Small & Medium Practitioners with various initiatives on a continuous basis.We are glad to share with you that during the year your Committee has taken various initiatives under the visionary leadership of President and Vice President for benefit of SMPs & CA Firms. A)           Financing
Arrangement of specialised loan scheme for Members of ICAI & Educational Loan Scheme for students of ICAI
The Committee for Capacity Building of CA Firms and Small & Medium Practitioners (CCBCAF&SMP), ICAI has taken a major initiative for arranging the specialized loan scheme for the members of ICAI & arrangement of Educational Loan scheme along with BOS, ICAI for the Students of ICAI. The Ladies Members & students would avail 1% discount in the aforesaid scheme from the prevailing rate of interest offered by Bharatiya Mahila Bank Ltd., New Delhi. Specialised loan scheme 'Corp CA' Scheme
The CCBCAF&SMP has taken a major initiative to arrange financial assistance to all members in practice / firms in the form of specially designed loan scheme through Corporation Bank. Through the scheme, eligible Chartered Accountants can avail finance for setting up of offices including cost of furniture/fixture/office equipments-computers and other accessories. ICAI Connect – A self service portal for members of ICAI
The CCBCAF&SMP has launched the ICAI Connect, a self service portal for the members of ICAI during the International Conference at Kolkata on November 21, 2013. The features of the aforesaid single window self service portal includes viewing personal Profile and firms constitution, Announcements of ICAI, details of payments of fees and regulatory charges to ICAI, My Articles details, tracking regulatory forms and application status, e-Services, My Firms, My Software(s), Letters & Certificates, CPE Hours credited, Guidelines of Networking, Merger & Demerger etc.
e-Samadhan portal for resolving the professional queries raised by members of ICAI 
The CCBCAF&SMP has launched the e-Samadhan portal for resolving the professional queries of the members of ICAI during the International Conference at Kolkata on November 21, 2013. The empanelled professionals will answer the queries raised by the members in various areas of the profession.  Members need to log in to SSP and click on 'e-samadhan' to register their query.

The CCBCAF&SMP has developed a Website namely www.icai.org.in, where the Firms and Practitioners may create their portals as per the norms laid down by the Council of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India. The website provides a platform for the CA Firms to upload their firms' details and gives them an opportunity to reach out to the members and CA firms practicing worldwide. As on date, more than 6200 CA firms have created their websites in the aforesaid website.
The website also acts as a forum for consolidation of the members and CA Firms by providing for consolidation measures like Networking, Merger and Corporate Form of Practice. The members may visit portals of other members and firms and like-minded persons may join hands to grow big to compete in the international front.

Revised Guidelines of Network
The CCBCAF&SMP has considered practical difficulties in consolidation of CA Firms through medium of Networking. The CCBCAF&SMP has appropriately finalized the revised Guidelines of Networking facilitating members and firms for its easy adoption. F)           Minimum Recommended Scale of Fees
Minimum Recommended Scale of Fees for the Professional assignments done by Chartered Accountants for Metro & Non-Metro cities 
The CCBCAF&SMP has taken a major initiative for prescribing the Minimum Recommended Scale of Fees for the professional assignments done by the members of ICAI. The recommendation is about the fee to be charged as per the work performed for various professional assignments and the amount quoted under respective heads of professional work.
