| The
Plant Costing Manager – MMF will provide cost and inventory accounting
leadership for MMF with a projected pant turnover of $ 400 MM in Phase I
in 2015. This position will report into MMF Finance Leader. This role
will be the Finance partner for various COE Manufacturing Leader in MMF
and would work closely with them to deliver strong inventory processes
and controls, cost management and support various business case analysis
for moving manufacturing to MMF - Pune. |
| The
ideal candidate will need to have a strong plant accounting background
preferably in a combination of products and projects setup.
• Ownership for developing standard cost and cost handbook of the plant
• Cost Management of all COE’s in MMF and in depth analysis of PPV
• Control and own the Inventory processes in MMF – perpetual inventory controls, yearly stock counts, stock adjustments etc.
• Own all Inventory and Cost Accounting ledgers in Balance Sheet and P&L of MMF
• Monitor various efficiency parameters of the plant – like line utilization, machine utilization analytics etc
• Own Cost Accounting compliance under the Cost Accounting and Reporting Rules
• Validate system output, perform ledger tie-outs/reconciliations
and support initiatives to streamline reporting requirements of
inventory management systems. |
| 1. Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or Business Administration. Preferably a CA, ICWA or MBA – Finance
2. A minimum of 10 years financial work experience in a
manufacturing environment in plant accounting roles. A minimum of 2
years experience in finance or accounting roles |
| Strong
analytic skills: able to clearly link financial results to operational
performance drivers generate alternatives and drive positive change.
• Excellent communication skills: experience working across multiple
levels (including executive level), functions and regions; able to
clearly communicate complex financial information in a easy to
understand manner; able to deliver message effectively verbally and in
writing
• Confidence / Assertiveness: possess influencing skills across
business functions; confidence to approach business leaders with
difficult messages and defend position; for example, work closely with
business leaders to achieve business objectives
• Solid PC skills: experience with financial systems/applications
(i.e.: Oracle, SAP, Hyperion, Business Objects, etc.), strong Excel
skills in data compilation and aggregation (i.e. pivot tables, VLookup,
and Macros)
• Basic understanding of financial compliance: SOX, GAAP
• Integrity: Accepting and adhering to high moral, ethical, and
personal values in decisions, communications, actions, and when dealing
with others
• Clear thinking / problem solving: successfully led
cross-functional projects/process improvement within operations/finance
function; able to quickly grasp new ideas
• Experience working in a matrix environment
• Trained and/or certified in process improvement methodology such as LEAN or Six Sigma
• Desire to drive IT improvements in the organization.
