As per the report, the CA aspirants had to undergo a mandatory eight month study period which
would have resulted in them missing the May 2020 intermediate examination.
The result of CA foundation examination was declared on 13 August, and the students who were earlier facing difficulty in registering for the test can now complete their registration till 1 October as opposed to the earlier last date of 1 September.
Subsequently,
ICAI has also relaxed the mandatory study period by one month, hence
students would now only need to get a seven month study period under
their belt.
The ICAI has claimed that this decision has been taken to aid the students who are facing hardships in registering for the May, 2020 Intermediate exam.
