Group Finance Centre (GFC) team is a
part of Barclays Financial Shared Service (BFSS) within Barclays Shared
Services (BSS) which is the offshore unit of Barclays, UK. We are involved in maintaining the
financial control, produce financial reporting submissions and deliver
high quality, accurate and timely management reports and analysis on
Group Centre performance that enables users to understand the
information and assist in achieving targets. Role also acts as a
central control point for all cluster control activities.
Assistant Manager, Noida, India
Your
primary role will be required to prepare and
finalise various balance-sheets and profit and loss returns, for
Barclays Bank PLC (BBPLC). The same would then be submitted to the
regulators (BOE, BBA and Financial Service Authority). You will also be
required to prepare reports for circulation to internal stakeholders.
As a Finance Assistant, your responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and implementing the General Ledger (GL) controls framework.
- Providing appropriate mechanisms for on-going reconciliation/ management information activities.
- Policing compliance with the daily / weekly / monthly continuous cycle.
- Managing compliance with Barclays Finance and GL control framework policies, principles and procedures.
- Collating and analyzing financial data from various reports and system.
- Ensuring financial control and Sarbanes Oxley (SOX) compliance.
- Conducting conference calls and managing Customer expectations.
We expect you to bring the following:
- Graduate degree (B Com) / Masters in Business Administration (MBA) degree with Minimum 5 years of experience / Chartered Accountant (CA) degree with Minimum 3 years of experience.
- Prior experience of working with regulators.
- Experience in closing reporting and knowledge of Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP), preferably System and Analysis Program (SAP).
- Should be able to work under pressure producing high quality work against deadlines
- Experience of working in month end environment.
