The Department has issued Circular No.12T of 2012 dated 1st August 2012 in respect of the new procedure to be followed in respect of the cancellation of Unilateral Assessment Order passed in Form 303 for non-filing of returns. The Main features of the new procedure are - •The new procedure will be applicable from 1st August 2012 ... •No need to apply for cancellation of Assessment Order in Form 304. •After submitting return and fulfilling criteria, the system will automatically cancel the Order. •No separate cancellation order will be passed •An email will be send to email ID provided by Department regarding cancellation
