Gold medal rower and Associate Chartered Accountant (ACA) Mahé
Drysdale is fronting a new professional development brand being launched
this month by the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants
(NZICA).
Knowledge Builder is
a professional development brand developed by NZICA offering its
members targeted, personalised professional development relevant to
every stage of their career.
“As a professional member body we have
the insight and knowledge of industry issues and requirements to
deliver
expert training and development. We have a strong interest in
delivering what our members need, at whatever their career stage so they
can excel in their profession as trusted business leaders,” says Frank
Owen, NZICA’s General Manager Professional Development.
“Knowledge Builder signals the start of
a shift in our professional development programme. We aim to provide
members with life-long learning opportunities that are relevant to their
individual history, career stage and interests.”
“We’ve chosen Mahé as our ambassador
because he personifies how expert training, a great support team
contribute to outstanding career success.”
Mahé will launch Knowledge Builder to
members this month, while training to achieve his goal of rowing for New
Zealand at the 2016 Olympic Games. He is also working hard to progress
from NZICA’s Associate Chartered Accountant designation to Chartered
Accountant.
“I’m going to be taking full advantage
of the expert knowledge and insight NZCIA has amassed over more than a
century to hone my skills and succeed in a career that will take me long
beyond my rowing days.”
An exciting upcoming Knowledge Builder event is The Transformers - Business Leaders Conference
on Friday 4 October at the Pullman Auckland. The conference features an
impressive collection of influential New Zealand business leaders who
will share their experiences and insights into transforming
organisations during trying times.
