Description
This position reports to: Operations Manager, Corporate Controllership
 Direct Subordinates: None
 Job Summary:
         
This position is responsible for revenue submission, invoicing and accurate billing of Hewitt clients. Individuals in this position will partner with client teams and will be responsible for submitting, reviewing, tracking, and maintaining revenue and billing information in the financial systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance with U.S. GAAP, other accounting regulations, and contract terms. Individuals in this position are also accountable for reviewing invoices, fee enterable, emails for the entry level CFA's. The position reports to the CFM, Operations Manager within the Corporate Controllership organization.
 
Key Responsibility Areas:
 
•         Meet SLAs as defined for the process.
•         Develop and enhance relationships with the client teams.
•         Review contract terms and document contract terms.
•         Set-up client projects as per the evidence (contracts) received and internal policies.
•             Maintain knowledge of client contract terms, services performed, and additional items impacting revenue recognition and invoicing activities.
•             Gather documentation from client team contacts and other resources to facilitate revenue review and approval.
•             Submit revenue accurately in accordance with US GAAP, other accounting requirements, and contract terms.
•         Consult with client team members to resolve revenue data issues or conflicts.
•         Update draft invoice markups for reasonableness and in compliance to policy and contract terms.
•         Review, identify and resolve billing questions and other queries with client teams and consultants.
•         Perform quarterly validation on revenue submitted.
•         Analyze and identify root cause/s for various process related issues and provide solutions proactively.
•         Coach and mentor entry level CFAs.
•         Guide entry level CFAs on process and day to day activities.
•         Review project set-up, fee submission, and invoicing for entry level CFA's for reasonableness, accuracy and compliance.
•         Initiate, encourage and/or participate in various process improvements initiatives.
•         Participation in organization wide initiatives.
•         Perform other duties, project work, etc. as assigned by CFM.
 
 
 
Position Requirements
 
Formal Education & Certification:
•         Three year college diploma or university degree in accounting or finance.
•         Certifications like CA, CFA, ICWA and MBA would be an added advantage.
 
Knowledge & Experience:
•         2-3 years of related functional experience
•         Knowledge of US GAAP and other accounting regulations (like SOX) be an added advantage
•         Good knowledge of financial accounting, problem solving, and analytical skills.
•         Experience with core software applications, including PeopleSoft Financials will be helpful.
•         Prior experience working with tight deadlines and demonstrated responsibility for accuracy and timeliness for work performed
•         Good project management skills and/or some exposure to project-based work structures, project lifecycle models, etc.
•         Knowledge of lotus notes and files management techniques.
•         Excellent understanding of the organization's goals and objectives.
•         Knowledge of applicable data privacy practices and laws.

Work Conditions:
•         Willingness to work in night shifts
•         Occasional late sittings and weekend work to meet deadlines.
•         Dexterity of hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard, mouse, and to handle other computer components.
•         Physically able to participate in training sessions, presentations, and meetings.
•         Active participation in organization wide projects/initiatives.
