NO CHANGE IN DIRECT TAXES IN INTERIM BUDGET

Mr P Chidambram, Hon'ble FM to-day laid before the house vote on account for the year 2014-2015.

While he refrained from announcing any change in the direct taxes regime, he offered some soaps in indirect taxes.

Manufacturing Sector gets a boost............Excise duty lowered from 12% to 10%

Automobile is another gainer....................

Small Cars get cheaper with excise duty cut from 12% to 8%

SUV..............................................................from 30% to 24%

Large Cars..................................................from  27% to 24%

Locally Manufactured Mobile Phone to be Cheaper and so would be Soaps, Detergents etc.................

Rice is finally an agricultural produce and gets service tax

exemption on storage, transportation etc.
