We are looking to hire a General Manager –
Finance based in Mumbai
Here is how your day at Unilever would look
like:
·
Collaborating the Category Head/ Function Head in the development and
execution of the category/ function strategic plans
·
Provide financial visibility on the business vertical performance vs.
strategy, identification of hot spots and solution planning
·
Lead active portfolio reviews to facilitate priority setting and funnel
management
·
Make the right interventions to keep on track and when necessary,
redirecting resources as new risks and opportunities emerge
·
Development of business cases for global innovations
·
Monitoring innovations and post-launch evaluations
·
Lead the annual CIP planning process, handling key interfaces and
facilitating trade-offs/choices on project prioritisation. Ensure controls are
in place to effectively own the category budget.
·
Drive Margin Accretive Innovation as part of category innovation process
·
Evaluate risk and opportunities on margin to help prioritize cross
functional team resources
·
Max the Mix through prioritisation of growth opportunities
·
Evaluate and make Business case for M & A opportunities
·
Drive 5S agenda for the categories with Cross functional teams
Key Skills
& Requirement:
·
Business experience, demonstrating a consistent record of delivery
across business cohorts, accounting, other streams in finance. Ability to
understand business drivers and strategic thrusts of the organization will be a
requirement
·
Ability to assimilate information and learn quickly and turn ambiguity
into an opportunity for creative solution
·
Form relationships internally (the MC and Category leadership
organization) to drive forward the agenda.
·
Excellent communication and social skills facilitating the rapid establishment
of constructive relationships and personal credibility
·
Ability to constructively challenge partners, to demonstrate resilience
in significant / difficult situations
·
Potential to progress further in the organization
·
Ability to accord to the functional agenda
·
Demonstrated track record of strong business and financial delivery
·
Strong business liaison experience is critical
·
Experience with project management or leading co-wide/global initiatives
·
Prior experience in a complex matrix organization
·
12+ years of experience
