ISLAMABAD, Pakistan: President Dr Arif Alvi has commended
Chartered Accountant (CA) professionals for the global recognition and
respect they have acquired because of their technical expertise,
adherence to ethics and integrity.
While talking to a delegation of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of Pakistan (ICAP) who called on him at the Aiwan-e-Sadr in Islamabad on Tuesday, the president appreciated the contributions of ICAP in establishing and regulating the accountancy and auditing professions in addition to imparting
Chartered Accountancy qualification in the Country.
The president said that demand for the accountants and accounting services would enormously increase in wake of Pakistan becoming the desired destination for investment, capacity creation and consumer demand.
Dr Arif Alvi urged the ICAP to continue its role towards strengthening the regulatory framework in cooperation with important policy making institutions and regulators.
