The institute said that the students got placed with an average salary of 7.4 to 8.5 lakh.
The President of the ICAI, Prafulla P Chahjed said, “This placement programme has attracted the highest ever participation from recruiters offering highest number of positions since the inception of
the institute. Education and training at ICAI will ensure that its newly-qualified Chartered Accountant professionals have the critical rudimentary sense equipped with a sceptical approach.”
According to an earlier report, around 9,000 CA’s had participated in the forty-ninth campus placement program. Candidates received about 3,297 offers from 141 companies and 269 interview teams. The highest package offered during the drive was 22.62 lakh for Indian posting and 35 lakh for foreign placement.
