The Finance Industry Development Council, a self-regulatory
organisation for NBFC-AFCs, has a new Chairman in Mr R. Sridhar, who
is currently Managing Director of Shriram Transport Finance Company
Ltd. He was elected as FIDC Chairman for period of two years at a
meeting of the Council held in Mumbai on Tuesday. Mr Sridhar is a
fellow member of the Institute of Chartered Accountants of India .
