Financial Controller - MS Hyderabad
Position/Role:
- Financial Controller - MS, Hyderabad (Senior Finance Manager)
- End to End ownership of all controllership responsibilities for Two Legal Entities
- This is a people manager role that would have the overall responsibility for accounting, reporting, statutory compliances for all the business units in Hyderabad.
- The role but will work very closely with the respective leads in each function and manage through impact and influence.
Reporting:
- The role reports to the India Finance Controller, who has the Controllership responsibility for all four legal entities and six businesses in India. The India Finance Controller reports to the India CFO.
Education:
- Chartered Accountant, with strong academic achievements, CS qualification will be an added advantage
Experience:
- Desired: 12+ years of relevant experience
- Strong relevant experience from industry and public accounting with extensive knowledge on tax
- Experience with strong organization pedigree is important. Prior experience of working / articled in Big 4
Location:

Book Keeping, Accounting and Close processes
•Work closely with the BPO partners (Accenture , ADP) to drive accuracy and completeness on accounting and month close processes
•Responsible to maintain and monitor books for various requirements; a) US GAAP accounts for parent company b) Statutory books for Indian Company law/ Indian GAAP c) Tax books as per Income-Tax requirements
•Responsible for evangelism and implementation of finance policies and practices
•Responsible for implementation of Sox related compliances Statutory Compliance and Governance
•Responsible for all tax, statutory and regulatory compliances of the legal entity- IT, IDT, RBI, IT, ROC etc.
•Responsible for Transfer Pricing study and compliance of all contemporaneous documentation requirements mandated by law and practice
•Responsible to ensure that all statutory compliances including adhering to FEMA rules are followed while handling all foreign currency transactions.
•Driving toward Green on Compliance Tracker through timely and accurate compliance of all returns and payments Partnership with Stakeholders
•Partner with other enabler functions - Tax, Trade, HR, LCA, RE&F to drive compliance and controllership agenda
•Responsible for partnering with the Senior Management of the Business Units for seamless execution of business priorities and controllership agenda
•Own the accountability to drive budget compliance, drive efficiencies in RE&F spends for campus (~$30M) Internal Controls and Audits
•Working with Local finance teams to have a process to analyze outliers and potential Audit Issues
•Working with Hyderabad Location finance lead to drive Financial Audit Issues to closure
•Responsible for timely completion of Stat audit, internal audit and internal assessments without any qualification
•Work with all stakeholders to ensure no overdue audit issues People Management
•Drive a highly motivated team with high accountability for self and team
•Lead and establish the right culture and climate for the entire Hyderabad Finance team
Key Requirements -
•In-depth Knowledge of Statutory and Accounting Policy requirements
•Exceptional interpersonal, organizational and analytical skills
•Strong written and verbal communication skill
•Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work with remote and diverse teams.
•Proven skills of handling consolidation, statutory book close and audit processes
•Advanced PC skills in spreadsheet and relational database applications required.
•Ability to work with Senior Management, understand the business challenges and provide leadership support
•Translate the Statutory & regulatory changes to impact on business operations
•Collaborate with geographically spread stakeholders to drive common agenda and for mutual success
•Lead a team with ability to motivate the team and drive consistent and sustained delivery
•Highly accountable for all commitments and drive a Say/ Do culture for self and the team
•Leadership ability to represent the organization with senior statutory authorities and enforcement agencies
•Learn continuously and keep abreast of all relevant statutory and accounting changes.
