Job Description
Delivering Superior Business performance:

• Ensuring that customer applications are decisoned within agreed timelines with adherence to credit policy requirements thereby minimizing credit losses.
• Enable create synergy between various functions for optimal business performance and growth through effective monitoring and control of secured and unsecured portfolio.
• Ensuring and improving the productivity metrics of Credit Initiation and deliver improved performance.
• Drive cross functional interaction in respective locations to share business knowledge, strategies and risk items.
• Ensure effective monitoring systems are in place to identify exceptions and breaches. Any such occurrence should be promptly highlighted to line manager. 
• Ensure various CI expenses are monitored and controlled in line with the cost control strategy.
Continuously improve the way we work:

• Support in implementation of all strategic initiatives in the area of operational excellence by credit initiation as per plan and timelines.
• Maintain portfolio quality by ensuring underwriting standards related to credit initiation process, policy compliance and CDD/AML compliance are met. Any instances of suspicious transaction must promptly be reported to line manager / supervising authority.
• Monitor, follow up and control the deferral documents inventory within targeted benchmarks.
• Adhere to all the Vendor Management practices for each of the locations handled.
• Ensure compliance with the group code of conduct during all customer interaction
• Ask for regular reviews, feedbacks to identify areas of improvement and necessary training, take part / nominate self for training with the help of line manager and display willingness to learn.
• Conduct regular training to enhance the process, policy and product knowledge of team.
• Display good leadership and people management qualities for the credit initiation team.
• Ensure measures to improve the work life balance and working environment for credit initiation team
Key Roles & Responsibilities
Strengthen relationship with regulators and communities

• Embedding principles of the Operational Risk Management and Assurance frame work to raise the bar on control & compliance.
• To ensure that OR toolkits like KCSAs, KRIs etc are updated regularly and submission timelines are met.
• To ensure adherence to BSCBI code, as laid out by the bank.
• Green / Green clearance with good audit ratings in all internal/external audits, Group Audits, BRR, CORAM, PPI review, market audit, peer review, concurrent audit and other audits.
• Drive and participate in Risk sponsored community participation and volunteer programs

Reinforce the brand
• Embed the brand promise and values more deeply within the bank and enhance external awareness of the brand
• Provide support to the service team in handling customer queries/complaints.
• To give continuous documented feedback to the Head CI on market conditions, prevalent practises to policy, products and collections, competition feedback in terms of business, products and process.
Qualifications & Skills
Chartered Accountant / MBA Finance with minimum 5 years of Underwriting experience of Secured/ Unsecured Products.
