SIRC ICAI EGM 28 MARCH 2013 RESOLUTIONS

RESOLUTION No. 1

BACKGROUND*

We find that one Central Council member on 1st March 2010 sent SMS and letters to 

members for suggestion in improving the examination system of ICAI. During the past 2 

years he has been claiming that he brought in several changes, and innovations in the 

coaching board and examination system of ICAI. However we find there were numerous 

mistakes in the evaluation of the answer sheet of the final students. President Mr. 

Jaideep Narendra Shah in an interview with Times of India confirmed that there were 

mistakes in the CA Final November 2011 examination. So far no Council member has 

taken responsibility for the mistakes. It is high time that we should make the Council 

members accountable and bring them under the discipline re-proceedings in case of such 

mistakes which are affecting lives of lakhs of students and their families. The members 

present must deliberate on this delicate issue and the following resolution if found fit 

may be consider for passing

RESOLUTION

Resolved that the elected representatives holding Chairman and vice Chairman of 

various Committees and the senior officials in charge be made accountable for any 

deficiencies in their services for members, student and staff.
