This role primarily involves managing Cash Pools with the objective of ensuring optimal utilization of GE internal cash & mobilization of the same as per Treasury policies and company requirements. This role would include consistent Interface with GE businesses on one hand, to get cash forecasts, manage surplus cash and meet funding requirements and with service and cash management units of Banks on the other to co-ordinate the resolution of all service / operational issues.
Short term liquidity management
• Custodian of GE's cash in the region. Net off the long and short cash positions in cash pools across the region utilizing FX swaps and SWIFT wires. Invest the excess cash in time deposits/reverse repo or borrow from the market to cover shortfalls.
• Take care of the short term liquidity needs of GE Businesses using cash pooling, inter-company loans and revolving credit agreements.
• Provide inputs to the treasury accounting team to help them book movements on corporate accounts
• Work with the Short term funding desk to determine CP issuances
• Work with businesses to understand business model and the incumbent cash needs for better liquidity management of corporate cash
• Analyzing trends in business cash flows to improve the forecasting model
• Drive treasury projects to reduce over account balances, reduce non-pooled cash, exploring opportunities for maximizing investment yield and deliver cost savings.


Others
• Assist various stake holders in managing cash flows arising from acquisition, divestiture, restructuring & refinancing transactions
• Lead and participate in process improvement initiatives at local and global treasury level
• Perform analytics on cash pool balances for managing exposures
• Candidate must have a post graduate qualification (CA – first attempt /MBA or equivalent. from a good B school).
• Overall work experience between one to three years (post qualification)
• The candidate would need to have experience in either
• Corporate Banking (Operations), Banking/Cash operations in treasury
• Statutory audits in an audit firm.
• Excellent written and verbal Communication skills with fluency in English.
• Strong customer orientation, process orientation and analytical skills
• Good knowledge of MS office – Word, Excel, PowerPoint & Access. Experience / knowledge of database management systems and programming languages will be an added advantage.
• Person to be flexible to work in shifts. The earliest shift could start at 0600 hrs and the last shift may end by 2200 hrs. Flexible holiday schedule – will need to work on Indian Holidays.
