Corporate & Investment Bank (CIB) has an opportunity for
a Control Officer who will be responsible for assessing and sustaining
the adequacy of the control environment within the EMEA Fund Services
Operations team in Dublin. Reporting into the Controls Manager -
Key responsibilities include:
- Covering all products within the Dublin Fund Services team, as part
of Operation Control Management (OCM). The Primary objective of the
role will be to promote and test that control standards, corporate
policies, and best practice can be evidence through the execution of the
following activities:
- Rigorous QA testing that focuses on key controls; the elimination of
control gaps and redundancy and meeting requirements for control
substantiation
- Managing RCSA process ensuring that action plans are added and completed in a timely manner
- Driving escalation and follow up of issues and events in a discipline and timely manner
- Leading in-depth process reviews and analysis of error incidents or data breaches and their corrective actions
- Developing effective working relationships with off-shore OCMs and working to ensure a consistency of approach.
- Reviewing operational incident reports for accuracy and completeness;
- Maintaining a repository of incident reports; and driving agreed actions to closure.
- Overseeing and consulting with Operations on the design and adequacy of controls.
- Communicating policy changes, training, best practices, and lessons learnt to the Operations team.
- Assessing staff performance, including completing their periodic performance assessments and providing coaching and mentoring.
