Ltd. is an innovative provider of services focused on high value, knowledge based job functions and adds values to such processes in many ways, including use of scripting engines enhanced via artificial intelligence and decision models to reduce performance variability and improve performance for our clients.   Altisource has three business divisions including Mortgage Services (underwriting, due diligence, valuation, field services, real estate sales and business process outsourcing), Financial Services (receivables management -- first and third party) and Technology Services (residential and commercial loan servicing and vendor management software).
 Altisource has three primary business segments including:
  • Mortgage Services (underwriting, due diligence, valuation, field services, real estate asset management and sales and business process outsourcing)
  • Financial Services (receivables and customer relationship management – 1st and 3rd party)
  • Technology Products (residential and commercial loan servicing, loss mitigation, vendor management and electronic invoice presentment and payment software)   
 
Altisource is looking for highly qualified energetic individuals to enhance the existing infrastructure, reflective of a growing company. This position reports to the Vice President of Property Preservation and Inspection and is situated in the Mortgage Services business segment.

Property Preservation and Inspection is responsible for all aspects of preservation, maintenance and improvements of Pre-Foreclosure and Real Estate Owned properties.

Primary Responsibilities:

Oversee following financial reporting functions within business unit:
·         Receive and approve Invoices
·         Reconciliation of past due accounts
·         Manage responses to inquiries received via email and telephone
·         Review and Process payment batches
·         Review and Process Wire reversal transfers
·         Establish proper records, approvals, documentation and audit trails for all transactions
·         Track orders nearing the client billable threshold and work with Finance to properly report expenses
·         Distinguish between the costs  to be passed either to the loan, other business units or absorbed by business unit
·         Track and report to finance the expenses and revenues for the month
·         Manage and allocate workflows
·         Develop reports using enterprise reporting software for payment related queries and escalations
·         Ensure monthly closing process and account reconciliations are completed timely and accurately.
·         Assist in building Business Unit Forecasting and Budgeting models
·         Work with Mortgage Services Segment Accounting team to implement automation of daily revenue and expense general ledger entries
·         Direct and participate in numerous special projects & process re-engineering efforts

Key Result Areas:

  • Reduction / Elimination of Trailing Expenses
  • Explore, and drive process efficiency measures, methodologies, workflows, tools, technology and applications for productivity improvements.
  • Ensure timely and accurate completion of month-end close and reporting activities.
  • Pursue continuous improvement of the monthly closing process.
  • Understand, apply and adherence to applicable Accounting Policies and Principles.
  • Adherence to company policies and procedures, including Code of Business Conduct & Ethics and Corporate Values.
  • Ensure compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley and other regulatory bodies.
·         Maintains high standards of quality, accuracy, timeliness and reliability in the team.

Required Qualifications / Certifications:

·         Strong educational background with Chartered Accountant (CA) designation. Additional  CPA qualification a plus.
·         4 to 5 years post qualification experience including an MNC and/or big 4 audit firm.
·         Ability to work independently, with minimal day-to-day supervision.
·         Flexible and proactive, with a high degree of decision making capacity.
·         Familiarity with US GAAP accounting standards.
·         Good conceptual and analytical skills.
·         Smart with good interpersonal, leadership and communication skills.
·         Expertise in MS office and worked on Accounting packages/ ERP. Experience with            Microsoft Dynamics is a plus
·         Should possess high energy level, be a self starter, team player, self motivated and          driven to meet the ever-changing demands of a dynamic organization.
