IB F&BM India: Financial Control - Asia Credit

 

The Line on Business (LOB) Aligned team in India is a part of the IB F&BM (Finance & Business Management) group and supports the Investment Bank locations in EMEA, North America and Asia. The team is accountable to various Global Business Controllers and CFOs. It is also part of the local Global Finance India team. Currently the LOB team is 180+ FTE.

 

The LOB team provides Financial Control and Business Reporting services to support various asset classes such as Equities, Futures & Options, Rates, Credit Trading, Currencies & Commodities, Exotics and Fixed Income products.

 

This role is a within the Financial Control team and is supporting the Asia Credit Trading business.

 

Key Responsibilities include the following

 

Daily reconciliation of the general ledger to the risk management systems on a timely basis to ensure completeness & accuracy. This would include Derivative & securities Cash & MTM positions.

 

Investigation, monitoring and resolution of reconciliation breaks between the risk management system, back office and the general ledger. This will include liaising with multiple groups across JP Morgan like Finance, P&L, Operations located in multiple locations

 

Monthly closing of the books, including passing supportable adjustments, within the corporate reporting deadlines

 

Monthly reconciliation and substantiation of the general ledger balances (GLRS) in accordance with Investment Bank policy

 

Ad-hoc duties as directed by the Asia Credit Trading Business Controller 

Qualifications

 

Qualifications

 

·         MBA with 3-4 years experience.

·         Chartered Accountant with up to 2 years of relevant experience.

·         Post Graduate with 4 years relevant experience.

·         Sound understanding of basic Accounting & Finance concepts.

·         Fluent verbal & written communication skills & articulate.

·         Strong desktop skills & Microsoft excel knowledge.
