Good in-depth knowledge of indirect tax laws relating to VAT/ Entry
tax/ Excise/ Customs for various global jurisdictions and basic
knowledge of direct tax and transfer pricing is expected. Also the
current GST/HST/VAT developments and impact of the same on the industry.
· Manage the indirect tax function with end to end processing and filing responsibility.
· Possess strong personality and leadership qualities.
· Excellent interpersonal, communications, public speaking, and presentation skills.
· Solid working knowledge in strategic planning.
Primary Internal Interactions:
· Finance leaders in the Regional Service Centers.
· Peers, Finance Managers & Senior Managers.
· HR, Technology, Finance, Business, Indirect Tax groups
for the purpose of supporting the department finance and Operational
leaders in the businesses.
· Exceptional experience in managing team. Must have prior experience in managing a team size of at least 10 members.
Primary External Interactions:
· Tax authorities, outsourced service providers.
· Finance and Operational leaders in the businesses for opportunities to benchmark and learn best in class process
Qualifications
·
Chartered Accountant (CA) or Corporate Secretary (CS) with relevant
exposures. Primary exposure should be on indirect tax matters.
Additional qualification of Company Secretary (CS) would be an added
advantage.
· At least 12 years of experience, with 3 years in an executive/ senior level position
· Exceptional experience in managing team. Must have prior experience in managing a team size of at least 10 members.
· Would have worked for a multinational organization
where/s/he would have worked with colleagues internationally, would have
travelled and worked internationally
· Should have exposure/knowledge of international accounting standards
· Global experience desirable
· Should have worked in a process driven environment
· Good communication and presentation skills
· Senior Leadership interaction skills
. Strong relationship management skills
