You will be responsible for:
- Preparation and lodgement of monthly, quarterly and annual external returns for the Macquarie group to APRA, RBA and ABS.
- Technical support regarding regulatory treatment of new products and transactions.
- Monthly balance sheet analysis and counterparty reconciliations of
- Macquarie's business units for senior management.
- Calculation of capital requirements for Macquarie's off balance sheet, and other exposures.
- Production of Macquarie's quarterly 'Pillar 3' disclosures document
- There will also potentially be some involvement in balance sheet and other statistical APRA returns.
- Expense analysis and other operational reports including investigation of variances.
- Ensure timely delivery of work and providing regular update to all stakeholders including clients
- Preparation and updation of process documentation to keep it up to date all the time.
- Work collaboratively with team of staff performing similar tasks
across other service areas to ensure consistency in approach and quality
of service delivery to service area clients.
- Manage responses to queries from clients, auditors and regulators.
To be successful in this role you will have:
- Postgraduate/ professional accounting qualification, preferably CA or CPA
- Minimum 2-4 years of post CA qualification experience.
- Willingness to travel overseas
- Willingness to work in different time zones to support clients.

The finance arm, GFS (Global Finance Services) sits within the
Finance Management Group and provides a range of finance services
supporting Macquarie's operating areas and management through the
provision of financial control, financial planning and capital
management, management reporting and budgeting and divisional accounting
services.
GFS is responsible for identifying opportunities to support greater
operational scalability via enhanced financial controllership, Quality,
process standardisation, delivering cost efficiency, best practice
service excellence management and enhanced operational / financial risk
control. GFS is also looking to expand its service offering beyond
finance and into areas such as investment banking and other processes
performed by Macquarie business groups. It's this expansion which will
drive the future growth of GFS.
