Methi Rice recipe



Methi Rice

Makes: 3-4
Difficulty: Easy

Ingredients
  • 2 cups- basmati rice
  • 4-5 bunches of fresh methi leaves (fenugreek leaves)
  • Mustard seeds
  • 3 tbsp- oil
  • pinch- hing
  • 4-5 green chillies
  • salt
  • 1.5 cups- peas

Steps
  1. Cook the basmati rice and leave it to cool. Wash the methi leaves and cut finely.
  2. Heat the oil in a kadai.
  3. Add mustard seeds, hing and green chillies. Add the methi leaves and peas and saute for 5 minutes.
  4. Cover with a lid and let cook for 8 minutes.
  5. Remove from heat, add the rice and salt and mix well.
  6. Makes a very tasty rice dish in just few minutes.
