Due date for submission of ITR-V for A.Y. 2010-11 Extended Again !

The due date for submission of
ITR-V for A.Y. 2010-11 has been re-extended upto
31.10.2011 or 120 days from the date of upload whichever is later.Previously,
it was extended upto 31st July 2011.
Readers may be aware that in case the return is not digitally signed,
ITR-V Form, which is an acknowledgement cum verification form, would be generated after successful upload of return .
A duly signed
ITR-V form should be mailed to “
Income Tax Department – CPC, Post Bag No – 1, Electronic City Post Office, Bengaluru – 560100,
Karnataka, ” BY ORDINARY POST OR
SPEED POST ONLY within 120 days of transmitting the data electronically.
What happens if ITR-V not sent within period ?
In case, the Form , is furnished after the above mentioned period, it will be deemed that the return in respect of which the Form ITR-V has been filed was never furnished .
Sending of the ITR-V Form , thus, completes the Return filing process for non-digitally signed Returns
