3rd INTERNATIONAL TAX CONFERENCE – ROAD AHEAD

13th -14th JANUARY, 2012 at HOTEL J. W. MARRIOTT, JUHU, MUMBAI


The Committee is pleased to announce its 3rd International Tax Conference to discuss emerging challenges and recent issues such as the effect of  current tax regimes on levels of international trade; problems involved in integrating domestic tax reforms with existing tax treaties; provisions in Direct Tax Code like CFC, GAAR, POEM, Thin Capitalization, APA, safe harbour rules; tax information exchange, existence and impact of tax havens and other low-tax jurisdictions. We, as one of the fastest growing economies in the world, need to take into account how various international taxation issues will affect us.

The Conference envisages to provide a platform for the tax payers, tax professionals and policy makers to understand each other’s perspective in respect of legislation affecting international transactions.

We have invited Shri R. N. Dash, Director General of IT (International Tax) to inaugurate the Conference and share his views and perceptions with the delegates. The Conference will be addressed by Shri Sohrab  E. Dastur, Shri Nishith Desai and other renowned speakers.
