IT
Finance plays a strategic role helping Microsoft Information Technology
(Microsoft IT) execute on its mission of delivering IT solutions and
services that drive innovation and business value across Microsoft. IT
Finance has responsibility for financial planning and management of
Microsoft IT Portfolio. This includes financial leadership,
strategy/planning, operations, business decision support, and business
intelligence across Microsoft’s Worldwide IT Group.

Finance Team as a Senior Finance Manager supporting MS IT business
portfolios that drive IT solutions and success across Microsoft. As a
strong leader you will partner across IT teams to effectively manage and
guide their financial portfolio spending.
MSIT has made significant
investments in the transformation to a real time IT enterprise
supporting Microsoft. In conjunction, IT Finance implemented new
financial systems solutions and processes to more effectively optimize
resources across a $1.3b IT portfolio. MSIT connects the company thru
leadership in technology that drives future growth and inspires
industry. This is role is very well positioned to support and drive the
finance transformation of IT as a key change agent.
To be
successful with partners and portfolio leads, the role requires a mix of
analytical, business, process excellence and reporting skills to
provide appropriate business insight and guide financial execution. The
ability and confidence to work across teams, understand and communicate
complex concepts, bring insight and influence results is a must. Change
is inevitable and possessing an active interest in driving change in a
technology environment is highly valued. Senior Finance Manager will
provide superior analytical horsepower and lead the financial planning,
analysis & reporting for various IT groups at MS IT India. He or she
will be expected to work very closely with MS IT India leaders, MS IT
Finance teams at Redmond, long range planning, demand forecasting, cost
optimization, modeling and ad hoc analysis basing all of this support on
strong business, partnering and analytical skills.
Core responsibilities will include:
Planning,
Budgeting & Forecasting: Drive annual planning process from
target setting, project costing, selection and prioritization from
budgeting thru forecasting. Provide leadership to the business with
respect to financial management, resource prioritization and allocation.
Drive decision making and incite within business and financial reviews
with IT and Finance leadership
Investment Decision Making:
Ensure IT investments are aligned to key priorities and recommend
opportunities to re-allocate and re-deploy resources. Create insightful
financial analysis and reporting providing meaningful insights into
actionable business communications and recommendations.
Presentations
/ Meetings: Drive the business story of your portfolio influencing
the content and incite gained through flash updates, reporting, business
reviews & plans, forecasts, mid-year review, and budget.
Communicate financial information in a way that is easily understood,
interpretable and actionable by senior non-financial leaders.
Process
Excellence & Change: Recommending process changes supporting the
business, financial & financial tools process to benefit the
business portfolio and simplify finance execution for the long term.
Experience Required:
Financial degree In Finance, Accounting or equivalent required
Professional certifications such as CA, ICWA, CFA, or MBA preferred
10 or more years of relevant & related work experience - required
Financial experience in technology, software solutions industries - desirable
Familiarity with internal MS Tools - a plus
