ICAI : 10 Suggestions by ICAI President for CA Students

ICAI President conducted a Google Hangout for CA Students on 9th Jan in which he answered queries of CA Students. He also gave some very useful suggestions for CA Students { ICAI } which
would help them in clearing exams and help them improve their skills.

 

A synopsis of the suggestions given by ICAI President for CA Students has been given below.

1. Prepare from Study Material & Practice Manual
Don’t go for the material provided by Tuition teachers, the study material is well researched and gives in-depth knowledge of the subject. Solve all the previous year questions and also see the suggested answers given by ICAI.
2. Use 15 minutes judiciously
Identify the tough questions and the easy ones, start attempting the easy ones first.
Never be worried to start in a sequence, the first question is always a bouncer and can shake your confidence and consume a lot of time.

3. Step Marking
With step marking coming into effect no need to worry about matching your answers and balance sheet, judicious marks will be given on step by step basis even if the final answer doesn’t match.

4. Articleship
To efficiently solve the case studies one needs practical exposure which can be learnt in articleship, for e.g. you can solve case studies related to tax only if u have spent time calculating income of an assesse in your training period.

5. GMCS
GMCS grooms you for the Corporate life and gives you practical experience of life. It helps you to improve:

• Communication Skills
• Team Leadership Skills
• Team building skills

6. Tech Skills
With a significant no. of transactions going online, technology labs have been set up across India, to teach students about computers, Accounting software’s and ERP’s to help them work in a global environment.

7. Hard Work
Hard work not casual work will make you pass, it’s only Commitment and Passion that will help you pass and without it no one can help you.

8. Social Media
A brisk use of social media is recommended, but one should waste less time on things like WhatsApp etc. and also avoid hanging out with friends and social gatherings for these 3 years and concentrate on studies.

9. Health
Health is Wealth, students should have sufficient sleep of 6-7 hrs, eat Healthy food, take a walk, do meditation and yoga.

 

10. Chase your dream of becoming a CA
Put all your energy and hardwork to become a CA.
Other Important Tips and information given by ICAI President

• Integrate your practical knowledge with the theoretical knowledge.
• Work in different fields so that u can get more insight of all subjects.
• Questions are designed to check your practical knowledge not your memory power
• Read Bare Act’s , AS , SA
• Ample opportunities for Semi Qualified CA’s in SME’s and other companies
• Indian CA’s can practice abroad by giving stipulated exams.
• CPT to become a combination of Objective and Subjective , just on the lines of IIT’s to make the course tough to enter.
• GST not applicable for MAY 2016
• ISCA expected to be removed
• Adv. ITT compulsory to be done before Final exams , cannot be done after exams
• More Advance ITT centers across India , in light of shortage of time before Finals to complete Adv. ITT
