•To execution of the Monitoring and Testing programme for assessing the adequacy and effectiveness of the organisation’s actions in meeting regulatory requirements and obligations for managing Financial Crime Risk within the assigned area of responsibility in FCC Monitoring and Testing
•To support management in leading and analysing the programme to assess the adequacy of actions
taken by the organisation to address identified deficiencies in managing Financial Crime Risk within the assigned area of responsibility in FCC Monitoring and Testing
•To ensure through reviews work that a comprehensive view of actual and potential FCC control deficiencies and the assessment of the effectiveness of the FCC control environment to risk and control owners in the organisation for within the assigned area of responsibility in FCC Monitoring and Testing
•Ensuring that the FCC M&T target operating model, including policy and procedural requirements are adhered to.
•To support the drive and lead the continued enhancement and development of the effectiveness of the Monitoring and Testing programme for within the assigned area of responsibility in FCC Monitoring and Testing
•Where Managerial responsibilities are held, to manage a team of AML FCC Compliance Monitoring and Testing specialists across all Global Business lines.
•Good understanding and experience of compliance and/or Financial Crime regulations. Exposure to Global AML Policy, Global Sanctions Policy, CDD Policies of respective LoBPs, RBI/SEBI/IRDA/HKMA regulations.
•Minimum of a Bachelor degree in business, law, accountancy or related field or equivalent experience. May also hold professional certification (CA, MBA, CIA, CFE).
•Experience of control testing gained within a financial services organization or audit/consulting practice
•Awareness of good risk management and governance frameworks including 3 lines of defence criteria
•Understanding of the activities of relevant business lines and associated compliance risks
•Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to communicate effectively at all levels and to engage with senior HSBC staff within the functions
•Ability to foster relationships whilst providing adequate challenge and effecting change
•Ability to work under pressure and within tight time-lines
•Excellent verbal and written communication skills – ability to communicate complex regulatory issues in writing
•Proven team player with an open communication style
