Vacancy for CA in Sony Pictures International Production

Senior Manager, Finance
               
The position will focus primarily on transactions to produce, distribute and acquire product for Sony Pictures International Productions throughout the world in Hindi and in local languages. This sactions to produce, distribute and acquire product for incumbent will work closely with business head and finance director in India and with Head Office in
LA to structure, record and administer production, co-production, finance and license agreements for motion picture.
Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct scenario analysis of films from initial stage of negotiation, comparative analysis, revenue and cost projection, tax structuring
  • Involve in commercial negotiation and determination of budgets
  • Manage both internal & external funding and perform ROI analysis
  • Conduct monthly, quarterly and annual reporting to Head Office in LA and monitor budgets
  • Coordinate with co-producer, talent, vendors and negotiation
  • Supervise production activity; monitor its progress and conduct variance analysis
  • Analyze costs and budget and negotiate with stakeholders
  • Conduct budgeting & monitor the project, highlight variances periodically
  • Work on fund flow estimation & projection, contribution to EBIT
  • Participate in business statements preparation
  • Perform statutory filling related to Production
  • Review contract on talent tax aspects
  • Oversee GST, Withholding tax, VAT and other tax aspects
  • Coordinate with law firms, auditors and tax advisors on structuring of deals
  • Assist in both internal & statutory audits for the team

Requirements:
  • Chartered Accountant with 5 to 7 years of experience in entertainment business with proven financial technical skills
  • Excellent communication skills (both written and oral) as well as proven ability to work with creative and corporate personnel
  • Must have excellent Knowledge of SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word
  • Energetic and dynamic business driver
  • Knowledge in film production related activities like budgeting/production accounts, Rule 9 of the Income Tax Act as far as Cost of Production is concerned
  • Ability to deal with various stake holders
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Demonstrate ability to multi-task and work in a team
