Board of Studies Launched GMCS I & II Course for CA Students who registered to Articleship after 1-5-2012
CA Students registered for their articleship training from 1st May,
2012 are required to undergo GMCS-I & II Courses during the
practical training.
These students must undergo GMCS-I during
the 1st year of practical training so that they can undergo GMCS-II
after completion of 18 months of practical training.
GMCS Courses are designed to develop effective communication and
conversational skills of the students and improve their public relations
skills that ensure better quality of articles within the period of
articleship training. The knowledge on Strategic Decision Making,
Articulation Skills, Data Analysis and Research Methodology, Group
Discussion and Preparation of Project Report etc., would enhance the
quality and level of knowledge of the students pursuing Chartered
Accountancy Course.
Moreover, the students get the opportunity
to acquire knowledge on important topics like Obligations and
Responsibilities as a Member; How to setup practice in different
disciplines; Social Networking vis-à-vis Professional Networking; Role
of Chartered Accountants as a Business Manager / Business Accountant;
Role of CFOs in Shaping Organizations; Financial Structuring; Venture
Capital, Transfer Pricing; Statutory, Legal, Secretarial, Contractual
Compliances; Management Consultancy; Valuation / Arbitration; WTO and
Opportunities for Indian CAs etc. Students having knowledge on these
areas will indirectly help you to increase and improve business in the
global competitive environment.
Further, by attending the GMCS
Courses in the beginning would help the firm to avoid the situation of
giving leave to all articles at the end period of 1st year of practical
training.
Therefore, you are requested to advise the articled
trainee(s) working under your guidance to undergo the GMCS-I Course,
since it is a regulatory requirement and part of the Articled training
right in the starting.
It is also expected that students coming at the end may have to wait for some time as the batch maybe full.
This initiative would strengthen your office and keep the trainees motivated.
