SURAT: The income tax department has detected undisclosed income worth Rs. 20 crore from two builders and an owner of stone quary in the city on Tuesday.
Official sources said the department had conducted search and seizure operation on the tax evaders onMonday and seized documents and bank accounts. On scrutiny, the tax evaders disclosed Rs 20 crore worth of unaccounted income.
