Seminar on "Tax Accounting Standards" @Bangalore

We are pleased to announce a Seminar on "Tax Accounting Standards"  scheduled for  Saturday, 19th January, 2013 at McDowell Hall, Karnataka State Billiards Association, 15/0, Miller Tank Bund Area, Vasanthnagar, Bangalore - 560 052.

As you are aware, Tax Accounting Standards (TAS) are being introduced by CBDT which has a greater impact on the computation of total income.  TAS  is being made applicable to all assessees (having business income and / or  income from other sources) such as Corporates, Non-Corporates, Individuals, whether covered by tax audit or not. 

 

A large number of cases have been settled by various High Courts and Supreme Court based on the accounting principles.  The introduction of TAS will alter the entire scenario and a new set of judicial pronouncements is likely to emerge in the future.  Chartered Accountants both in practice as well as in industry are required to update their skills in this important aspect of accounting and  law.  

 

The speakers are  CA N. Nityananda, the past Central Council Member  and CA  S. Ramanujam who till recently was heading the Direct Taxes in the UB Group.  Both the speakers have served on the Committee on Accounting Standards and have lectured on Accounting Standards in conferences, both Regional and National.  They bring with them  vast experience and  in-depth knowledge in this field and will  be able to highlight  the various issues that could arise on account of  introduction of TAS.
