Project Summary & Position Overview:
To
lead a group within one of the General Accounting work streams and be
responsible for the on-going leadership, cost-effective operation and
high performance of Business Services in line with service level
agreements and Thomson Reuters key objectives. This role is critical to
ensure the deployment of Thomson
Reuters' Business Services strategy and
group finance. The Business Services concept is a critical enabler of
Thomson Reuters' strategy to transform its support activities to deliver
cost-effective high quality service to Thomson Reuters' business
models.

Essential Day to Day
Responsibilities:
• Balance Sheet accounts
reconciliation
• Journal Entry
• Month close activities
• Compliance activities
• Other General Accounting activities
• Team management
• Any other new reports required for management review
• Knowledge of People Costs Process is preferable.
Additional Information:
Candidate should be willing to work on any shift during month end close
Education: Graduate degree in
Commerce & Preferably CA/ICWAI inter/Qualified
Required Skills:
• Bachelors Degree in Finance/Commerce/Business or Accounting - Desirable with accounting background. • Additional professional qualification preferred. • Written and spoken fluency in English • Computer literate with working excellent knowledge of Microsoft • Experience in SAP or other large Accounting software • Experience in providing accounting services for large global organizations • Staff management experience • Understand the Chart of accounts • IFRS basic level

Ability to work independently and take initiative. * Attention to detail. * Good interpersonal skills, good verbal and written communication skills. * Willingness to work on any shifts, if the job requires at a later date. * A reasonable amount of overtime will be required during peak reporting season. * Flexible and ability to adapt to change
