E-Filing of Tax Audit Report

On 13th Aug 2013 at Lucknow branch of CIRC of ICAI Sub-Regional Workshop on E-Filling of Tax Audit Report was held which was addressed by CA.Sanjai Agarwal Central Council Member. CA. Sanjai Agarwal (as he informed) is the "KEY PERSON" from ICAI who initiated the process of E-filing of Tax Audit Report and also brought it to this shape as you are witnessing it today.

During the 1:45 hrs deliberation he has replied the quires and also informed the members. Some of the key points are like worth sharing:
1. One more modification to the e-filing utility will be uploaded near about 21st August 2013;
2. If your system is getting slow down during the working on e-utility it may be due to 2 versions of JAVA on the system; Remove old version of JAVA to imrove performance;
3. For putting the negative figures in any field use brackets ( ) instead of - negative sign;
4. If "Surname" at ICAI record and PAN do not match, apply with affidavit to ICAI for change to match it with PAN;
5. Make your own calculation of Depreciation in case of sale as well as purchase of some of the assets in a Block of Assets. Also use "Delete" before "Add" for any assets;
6. If any member upload more then 45 reports of 44AB then later on ICAI may take stringent action; Option is take undertaking from another partner to this effect that "he is not signing any report and you are filing on his behalf after completing your quota;
7. From next year possibility of "Swapping" between partners of the firm may come up;
8. Those who are not having any software to view the XML file may use "XML notepad 2007" from http://www.microsoft.com/en-in/download/details.aspx?id=7973 also posted by Chairman of the session CA Ashok Seth in this group. A very simple tool to install and view/edit the XML with XML tags in left PAn and its values in right PAN;
9. Printing facility will be introduced;
Besides this he has also walk through the process of registration as CA to finally uploading the report.
