Job Description

Role is for Head Cards Acquisition Policy for SCB India; reporting to Credit Head, Lending. Individual will be responsible managing growth and profitability of credit cards acquisition business through effective policy development and risk management.

Key Roles & Responsibilities

• Responsible for growth and profitability of credit cards for SCB India
• Partner with product and sales teams to develop and manage credit policy across different channels of acquisition
• Develop risk management frameworks to help diversify acquisition channels to grow the credit card business
• Develop and manage profitability frameworks for credit cards to ensure focus on the right segments for building a risk resilient business
• Drive effective risk management practice through data-based credit decisioning.
• Ensure effective monitoring mechanisms are in place, including early warning mechanisms, stress tests and contingency plans.
• Constantly review and provide periodic program/channel analyses and credit performance forecasts to provide recommendations as appropriate.
• Lead people development for the cards acquisition policy team and effectively manage the team to drive results
• Ensure good control mechanisms are in place throughout the credit cycle processes, and to ensure satisfactory audit clearance.
• To effectively monitor and review portfolio trend to ensure strict control over delinquency management and minimize credit loss.
• Work closely with partner groups like credit initiation and process teams to ensure efficiency in execution of policy while maintaining effective process controls

Qualifications & Skills

1. Quantitative and business background and education (e.g. IIT, IIM, CA profile)
2. In depth understanding and experience in unsecured lending
3. Strategic thinker and balanced decision maker able to make risk-reward tradeoffs in setting policy
4. Analytical bent of mind
5. Strong leadership, people management and project management skills
6. Driven, Results Focused and Good Problem Solver
7. 8-12 years of total work experience
