Job Description

 
Roles and Responsibilities – Analyst
 
This role is of a financial controller responsible for supporting Banking Products. The responsibilities include  Posting of accurate accounting entries, Balance Sheet and P&L Reporting, Management reporting, Reconciliations. S/he will also be responsible for detailed reviews of processes, improving/re-engineering current processes, focus on improving efficiencies, identify issues and co-ordinate resolution of these issues, liaise extensively with the global/regional product controllers and other concerned teams.
 
Key responsibilities include:
  • Balance Sheet & Income Statement Flash reporting at global/regional level, split by Spot & Average balance, Third Party & Intercompany, product & sub-products.
  • Manage watch list & variance explanations.
  • Balance Sheet & Income Statement General Ledger to MIS books reconciliation at global & regional level.
  • Accruals & other adjustments working & postings to ledgers including funding, op loss adjustments, netting & pooling, revenue/expense share, interest postings etc.
  • Support regional/global Close Book preparation highlighting regional performance & key highlights.
  • Provide global/regional around Tax Transfer Pricing & analyzing allocation rules.
  • Ensure relevant controls are in place to ensure accuracy and utmost quality of output.
  • Manage change requirements in the existing processes on an ongoing basis.
  • Review and develop new controls necessitated by any change to the process.
  • Identify potential issues in processes and co-ordinate resolution on an ongoing basis.
  • Liaise extensively with the financial and product Controllers on issue identification, resolutions, new developments etc.
  • Continuously explore and implement consistency, improvements and automations to eliminate manual efforts, enhance controls etc.
  • Develop end to end understanding of the process including system architecture and data flows of relevant systems.
  • Act as first escalation point for the resolution of any Month End related issues.

Qualifications

 
Education, Experience & Key Skills required: 
  • CA preferable with 2-5  Years of experience
  • Post Graduate / MBA with 5+ years of experience.
  • Inter CA with 7+ yrs of Experience
  • Experience in Finance Operations essential.
·         Experience in interfacing with clients essential.
  • Ability to take initiative and think out of the box.
  • Creativity combined with structured thinking to identify and analyze business issues.
  • Ability to articulate and present concepts.
  • Ability to build business relationships, energy and ability to get things done, Interpersonal skills and partnership skills.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills.
  • Strong PC skills with hands-on experience in Excel, and PowerPoint
