Project Management
- Address the complex research needs forbusiness development, updates
on market development, and client engagements.Conceive, design and
execute secondary research on:
- Company: its scope of business activity andbusiness model, segments,
revenue model, strategy, issues and challenges,M&A history,
competitive positioning, organization structure, keymanagement, recent
developments, SWOT, etc.
- Market and competition: industry value chain,size and growth
outlook, trends and drivers, challenges, competitive landscape,Porter's /
PESTLE analysis, etc.
- Financials: broad analysis of incomestatement, balance sheet, cash flows, ratios, segment performance, etc.
- Drive the analysis of the above to draw keyinsights; articulate
findings through visually appealing / appropriateframeworks and in a
clear, concise, and grammatically correct business English(both written
and verbal)
Team Management
- Guide Team Leaders (TL), Senior Analysts (SA)and Business Associates
(BA) across each stage of projects - from communicatingclient
requirements, scoping and work allocation, to continuous supervision
andreview across secondary research, analysis and discussions,
story-lining, andpreparing deliverables
- Ensure highest quality (for self and teammembers output) and on-time delivery for all the projects
- Mentor several counselees at any point intime
- Client/ Stakeholder Management
- Engage with the requestors/clients, interprettheir requirements,
estimate projects' scope and timeline, and managecommunication flow
end-to-end independently
- Actively build and manage the relationshipand interface with international Advisory professionals
- Lead in business developmentmeetings/conference calls
- OperationsManagement
- Drive the team's operations (staffing, MI,recruitment, etc.) and key
initiatives (such as training, team get together, BDcollaterals, etc.)
- Manage the improvement of various processesaround Global Knowledge
Management, Learning & Development & Thought Leadership. This
will involve liaising with senior internal stakeholders and managing
junior/off-shore resources and where appropriate escalating issues&
recommending courses of action
Essential skills required
- Project and Team Management Exposure
- Prior experience in project scoping, effortestimate, project work
planning, team handling (of 7-8 team members), staffing,providing
feedback, etc.
- Credible record of operating at a teammanagement level
- End-to-end project delivery - clientinteraction, information collection, deliverable preparation, quality check anddelivery
Technical Skills
- Strong numerical, analytical and strategicthinking skills, and sound business / commercial acumen
- High problem solving skills; ability to drivethrough to an outcome in circumstances of complexity and ambiguity
- Ability to strategically analyze companies /industries / countries
- Strong understanding of finance fundamentals- income statement, balance sheet, cash flows, financial ratios
- Adept at strategic frameworks such as SWOT,Porter's Five Forces, PESTLE, etc.
- Proficient across databases (such as Investext,Factiva, Capital IQ,
MergerMarket, Lexis Nexis, etc.), in identifyingsurrogates, and
triangulating data
- Ability to assess technical information todistill key strategic
insights and convey these succinctly, clearly andconfidently, verbally
and in written form
- Ability to synthesize and critically analyzelarge quantities of
qualitative and quantitative data quickly and drawmeaningful insights
- Experience in preparing contextualizedreports, briefs, thought leaderships, market sizing, competitive assessmentsand analysis
- Produce professional, neat and client-readypower point presentations and excel worksheets

Experience and Qualifications
- A minimum of 6-8 years of relevant experiencein a similar role,
particularly in a professional services firm / third-partyKPO /
specialized research houses / research divisions of investment banks;
withMBA / CFA / CA / M.Com./ PG in Economics
- The candidate must have 8-10 years ofrelevant experience in a
similar role, particularly in a professional servicesfirm / third-party
KPO with Graduate qualification
- Extensive experience of conducting andleading complex research assignments
- Experience of handling multiple stakeholdersand managing teams
- Experience of conducting research on one ormore of the following
industries will be an additional advantage: FinancialServices, Life
Science and Healthcare, Industrial Manufacturing,Telecommunications,
Technology, Media and Entertainment, Retail and ConsumerGoods,
Diversified Businesses, Logistics, Energy and Natural Resources,
Traveland Leisure, Utilities, Real Estate and Construction,
Government/Public Sector
