Articled
students are required to attend various GMCS programs during their
training. However there seems to be little in terms evidence to
indicate the efficacy of the programs and its impact. The issue has
implications both for the student as well as professionals who are
required to send them for
the same.
It is critical for the institute to share with the student and professionals the following information.
1. Evaluation of the student, in terms of scores, both before and after the program.
2. Modal/average score of the batch/region/national level
3. Moving average of the modal/average score in the batch/region/national level
Unless
we spend quality time in evaluation we are going to reduce, before long
if not already, these programs to a mechanical process and perceived as
more money spinners than knowledge facilitators!
