The Financial Analyst - Finance / Accounting COE will support GE Corporate financial reporting activities, including quarterly reporting, analysis, and associated projects.
  • Quarterly reporting, including closing activities, variance analysis, and associated projects
  • Deliver analysis as part of the finance processes, linking financial results to operational performance drivers
  • Interface with internal partners / stakeholders of the COE (Center of Excellence), driving continuous improvement to deliverables and processes supporting these partners
  • Analyze financial statement areas for both registrants (GE & GECC)
  • Prepare footnote and MD&A disclosures for each registrant’s quarterly and annual SEC filings, as well as for the GE Annual Report
  • Review disclosures with management as required
  • Prepare quarterly/annual summary balance sheet analysis package for senior management for GE and GECC
  • Review analysis with management as required
  • Basic Qualifications:

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in an accounting/corporate finance role for a Fortune 500 company and/or large CPA firm
  • Bachelor's Degree in accounting or financeEligibility Requirements:

  • Must be willing to work out of an office in Visteon Village, Wayne County, Van Buren Township (near Ann Arbor / Detroit)

  • Certified Public Accountant (CPA) / Chartered Accountant (CA)
  • Experience working in a global business environment with sound understanding of global process and transactional flows
  • Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and experience in a financial reporting environment
  • Clear thinking and problem solving to drive projects / process improvements within operations / finance functions
  • Uncompromised levels of integrity, ethical and personal values in decisions, communications and actions
  • Local Candidate Preferred
  • Detail and process oriented with strong analytical skills
  • Able to analyze raw financial and operational data, draw conclusions, and develop actionable operational and strategic recommendations
  • Self-Starter with a desire to work in a dynamic, fast paced environment - Ability to multi-task
  • Results oriented, able to set and meet aggressive targets with appropriate prioritization of tasks, high energy level
  • Strong PC skills - specifically Excel and PowerPoint
  • Experience with Financial Systems - specifically Oracle General Ledger and Analytic Applications (i.e., Hyperion)
  • Excellent interpersonal, written/verbal communication, organizational skills with the ability to quickly build credibility, influence and make recommendations to all levels
