Under direct general supervision provide assistance on claims administration.

Key Responsibilities:

· Verifies that the claims arising are within the relevant policy and treaty limits; resolving issues or referring to other relevant function, as required.

· Verifies daily claim register by scanning the register to ensure accruals are reasonable, required fields are completed and that the register is free of obvious errors. Authorizes accrual vouchers.

· Identifies undesirable claim adjudication practices through analysis that require a need to elevate claim. Refers questionable claims to the immediate superiors.

· Processes retroceded claims: assures that recoverables on large, complex retroceded claims are paid on a timely basis.

· Implement administrative procedures and controls for the individual claims management functions.

· Support the team with delegated accounting aspects, converting clients’ data and treaty information

· Preparation and validation of reports

· Builds and maintains client relationships through effective communication

· Works closely with members of the Administration team and with other teams

· Automation of processes for gaining greater operational efficiency

Identify and escalate differences and inconsistencies in claims data ensuring all issues are appropriately resolved
Job Requirements :
REQUIREMENTS:

· Bachelor’s degree/ Inter CA

· 2-3 years’ experience in handling various aspects of the administration/operations function of an insurance/financial business.

· Strong oral and written Communication skills. Strong IT skills – sound working knowledge of MS Excel, Macros, MS Word, Ms Access & SQL. Ability to work in cross-functional teams/projects.
