Hub
One of the three
international operations centres, BNP Paribas Sundaram Global Securities
Operations (GSO) provides services to global clients in the Asian region and
some "follow-the-sun" activities for European clients. Our services
include custody operations, fund accounting, middle office operations, static
data management, IRP and other transversal services. GSO currently employs
about 1250 staff with this number set to rise to about 1500 by end of 2016.
INVESTMENT REPORTING and
PERFORMANCE Department (IRP)
Investment Reporting and
Performance (IRP) team is a department of BNP Paribas Securities Services
providing performances and reporting services to Asset Managers and
Institutional clients. By size and market, IRP is the European leader. Services
provided by IRP include state of the art performances and risks calculations
delivered on line or through wide range of reports (accounting packs,
Factsheets, Investment reviews,..) or data feeds. IRP Global Team Structure is
as follows:
270 IRP team members mainly
centralized in Paris (173), with 97 other roles ensuring services in UK, BE,
NL, AU, HK, US, NZ & DE
Due to its specific market
flexibility requirements IRP has its dedicated development resources and teams
are composed of 50% Analysts (OPS), 25% Business Analyst and 25% IT
Performances and reporting
services directly provided to clients in the Asian region,
Development and maintenance
of the IRP systems (Large majority of IRP systems is developed in-house)
Description
Purpose of Position:
A Management role on our
operational production hub in Chennai and our onshore clients. The purpose of
the role is for you work on Investment Reporting areas based in Chennai during
the production cycle and then switch focus to service optimization and change
management tasks for the client postproduction
Key Responsibilities:
Service Delivery
- Participate in
the calculation and reporting of performance and attribution on flagship
portfolios for our clients
- Act as a contact
in the event of urgent or unresolved performance or reporting queries
received from either the client or client facing
- Ensure the
quality and accuracy produced by you for the activity assigned to you
- Meet with
clients requirement as required to ensure the service delivery is of a
high standard, maintaining a strong focus on timeliness and accuracy as
measured by service KPIs and MI
- Gathering and
check of portfolio data received from Accounting (Hiport,
Multifonds,others…, Client/Market analytics (Bloomberg, factset), manager
commentaries
- Calculation and
Check of performances and risk figures in accordance with the industry
standards (GIPS) as well as client service level agreement (SLA)
requirements: Total/NAV returns, performances breakdowns, performance
attribution, ex-ante and ex-post risk,
- Generation and
distribution of reports (Factsheets, Investment Reviews, Accounting Packs,
Management reporting) data to third parties (ie: feeds to the clients
internet sites) or other outputs (Investment Grids)
Projects & Change
- Work on client adhoc
requirements aimed at developing, extending, or improving the existing
service received by the client
- Work on new
activity set up and onboarding activities
- Seek to optimise
end to end production with you team, working transversally across the
business as required

- Considerable
experience (where applicable) working in performance measurement and/or
client reporting function:
- Practical
understanding on market data such indices, analytics, and standard classification
structures
- Practical
understanding of core performance and attribution methodologies
- Practical
understanding of ex-post risk statistics such as tracking errors, sharpe
ratios, alpha, beta, volatility etc.
- Practical
experience using performance / attribution / risk calculation &
reporting systems within BNP Paribas
- System /
application skills:
- Essential:
Excel, Powerpoint, Word
- Desirable but
not essential: VBA, SQL, Bloomberg
- Project
Management / Business Analyst skills: -
