In recent times Overheads
has become a hot topic for discussion, with Go-Bots leading the future of
Overheads.
Go-Bots is a project, pioneering
the overheads agenda for Unilever by increasing the proportion of costs
controllable by the Global Divisions & localising as much of our Global
costs as possible..
This is an exciting role
focused on the End-to-end accounting & reporting of Unilever’s overall
Global Cost with a specific focus on Global Divisions Category Investment
Plan and Corporate Departments costs. It is an excellent role to demonstrate
your accounting capabilities & skill sets whilst helping to deliver
Unilever’s in year financial ambition.
The individual will have
to dynamically prioritise their time between reporting & forecasting of
Global costs, working closely with the global teams to ensure the accurate
& timely reporting of all Global costs (incl. Supply Chain Overheads
& Brand & Marketing investment).
Key Responsibilities
- Oversight
of the month end closing activities related to all global costs
- Ensure
the correct reporting of costs captured in the relevant International Cost
Centres (ICC), including the processing of central adjustments as requested
by the Global stakeholders through the use of Microsoft Excel & iFinance
- Produce
monthly summary of Global Division costs to the appropriate teams
- Running
the entire CTI process to ensure the costs captured in ICC’s are reflected
correctly in Management Reporting (v200)
- Run
central validations to align International Cost Reporting (ICR) & Management
Results (MR) for Global costs
- Embedding
the correct allocation of costs to Divisions
- Process
journals for all costs incurred in ICC’s into Financial Reporting (v100) to
ensure that all Global costs are reflected correctly under Parent &
Holding entities
- Manage
the Gross Margin Variance Analysis (v540) & Working Capital (v560)
submissions for Global Departments
- Oversee
the roll-over & restatement of all Global incurred costs at year end
- Evaluate
the latest payroll information provided by the payroll team for Corporate
Departments are up-to-date & budgeted for correctly (including
restructuring utilisation)
- Review
of the provisional monthly actuals vs Forecast to identify the need for any central
adjustments for Corporate departments
- Update
& prepare monthly accruals for Corporate Departments
- Prepare
the monthly forecast submission for Corporate Departments
- Provision
of ICC Deep dive analysis & variance analysis to aid in discussions with
key stakeholders

Qualification/Experience
- Individual
with well-developed analytical and communication skills with ability to
deliver under pressure
- Previous
financial accounting or management accounting experience is essential
- Professional
finance qualification CA, ICWAI or MBA with minimum 4-5 years experience
