Job Purpose

  • To be responsible for managing the banking operations for branch including the credit portfolio management and SME customer relationships.
  • To also assume the Corporate Governance responsibilities for all branch activities for the branch.
  • To be the face of the bank and key contact for external parties into DBS in location

Key Accountabilities

  • Devise and implement a strategy to grow the SME and Consumer Banking business in branch and to regularly interact with all BU Heads to ensure active involvement in their businesses.
  • Manage SME assets ensuring appropriate product profitability (ROA, ROE, NIM, etc) and risk quality
  • To ensure active front office market coverage by all businesses (including non-SME businesses in liaison with the HOD’s), and to establish the DBS Brand and presence with all our target customer groups and relevant parties, particularly SME customers.
  • To lead the team including SME and Consumer Banking relationship managers and ensure motivation in order to achieve the branch KPIs
  • Monitor and ensure branch profitability targets are met with co-ordination across various businesses
  • Assist in cross selling bank products within DBS Group
  • Ensure that all aspects of Corporate Governance for the branch are met, monitor compliance issues for the branch, and proactively highlight/escalate any issues.

Responsibilities

  • Develop the SME and Consumer client base in branch, including target identification.
  • Prepare and track client plans for existing clients.
  • Service existing relationships and enhance revenue and ROE thereof.
  • Maintain credit risk quality of the SME portfolio
  • Work closely with the central product and sales teams to ensure delivery of products
  • Manage the career development and training plans of the SME and Consumer Banking RM team along with HR and Head SME, India
  • Maintain oversight on controls instituted by Credit Administration
  • Maintain compliance with regulatory requirements for the entire branch
  • Other businesses – To provide support to HOD’s to facilitate the growth of all businesses and products in the Nashik region
  • Operations – To provide on-the-ground inputs and assistance to the Manager Operations to ensure that administrative and business processes are followed
  • Communication – To clearly and regularly communicate on behalf of the Branch with central product & sales team and Head Office Staff, as appropriate

Requirements

  • At least eight years of experience in Banking / Financial Services sector post qualification
  • Education / Preferred Qualifications
  • Basic minimum: Post Graduate Degree, preferably in business, economics, finance, etc, [CA /MBA]
