Chennai: Introduction of GST has resulted in revamping and redesigning of the entire existing
Indirect Tax system.
Though the government loaded GST with many tangible benefits, the new
tax system also has its share of complexities, problems and frequent
changes.
So to understand the practical aspects of GST better, Chartered Accountant Sumit Kedia has authored a book – ‘
A Practitioner’s Guide to Gst Audit & Annual Return.’
It was released by Canara Bank Chairman T N Manoharan in the presence
of Commissioner of GST & Central Excise- Chennai South
Commissionerate, K M Ravichandran here recently, a press release said.
Thirty-one-year Sumit Kedia says the book will act as a self guide to
CFO’s, tax consultants and in general to all taxpayers to ensure due
compliance with the GST annual returns and GST audit.
Apart from offering clause-wise analysis of GST annual return and
audit, the book also answers FAQ’s on practical aspects, gives detailed
guidance on the interpretation of the provisions relevant to GST,
provides analysis of the critical and key focus areas of the financial
statements from the GST perspective and has an illustrative checklist of
information and documents to be verified to ensure compliance with GST
regime.
Sumit Kedia is a practising Chartered Accountant specialising in Indirect Taxes, particularly GST.
