CBDT’s Draft Notification on Amendment in PAN Application Forms

CBDT has issued draft Notification on proposed amendments in PAN Application Forms 49A/ 49AA and IT Rule 114, whereby furnishing of father’s name shall not be mandatory for a person whose mother is a single parent. Also, CBDT has proposed to amend timeline for PAN application/
allotment in the case of persons making financial transactions above threshold of Rs. 2.5 lacs, u/s 139A. Stakeholders can submit comments latest by 17 Sept. 2018 via email at ts.mapwal@nic.in
