Job Description

 

Roles & Responsibilities - include specific functions/ tasks/ performance objectives

 

• Finalizing Legal entities financials on monthly basis and support Legal Entity Controller (LEC) in all US regulatory reporting
• Partner with Legal Entity controller (LEC) to support on financial reporting and business initiative
• Quarterly Regulatory reporting as per US FED and SEC requirements for Asian Legal Entities
• Support various lines of business and report  line of business wise performance reporting on Monthly basis and query resolution
• Financial Integrity of General Ledger by performing daily control checks & follow ups
• Maintenance of Reference data hierarchy
• Perform various reconciliations (Account level, system, inter-company etc) to ensure financial integrity

Participate in user acceptance tests during projects on system implementation/changes

Qualifications

 

Essential Skills & Experience -- include specifics regarding academic/ professional qualifications

 

Education

 

Chartered Accountant with good academics & strong accounting knowledge

 

 

Skill sets

·         Chartered Accountant with 2+ years experience preferably with financial services industry and experience of US GAAP

·         Strong accounting knowledge with experience in Book closure and finalizing accounts

·         Strong control mindset. Analytical skills.

·         Ability to multi-task under considerable time pressure, whilst maintaining a high degree of accuracy and quality

·         Good team player and quick learner

·         Good communication and organizational skills including partnering skills and proactive ness

·         Enthusiastic, with a positive can do attitude

·         Strong PC skills including MS Excel, MS Word, MS Access and Lotus Notes.

·         Investment Banking product knowledge including derivatives, equities and debt securities

Knowledge of Oracle GL platforms would be an advantage
