This is to bring to your kind notice that I have been a regular customer of Vodafone since May 2010. My no is 7800 7800 80.
Since 13-02-2012 my sim card stopped responding and started to show "Sim card registration failed".
Thinking it to be a normal feature, I approached Vodafone customer care office located at Sapru marg, Lucknow today (15/02/2012).
There I came to know of the FRAUD that had taken place. I was informed that My no: 7800 7800 80 had been issued in my name to some person in Gorakhpur, without my knowledge or permission. That fraudster had been using my number since 13-02-2012 till today. Thereafter i reached Vodafone customer centre located at Waves, Lucknow.
I was told that my number was issued to some fraudster by your channel distributor in Gorakhpur, M/s Shubham Enterprises on 13-02-2012.
That person has been using my number to make a lot of calls, the details of which were not provided by your customer care executive.
I have requested your customer care to stop the services of that fraud sim at once and to issue me a new sim for the same number. My complaint ID is- 2258030262
Now my issues and concerns are:
My faith and trust in Vodafone has been completely shattered.
Hoping for an early response from your side.
A copy of this complain is being forwarded to the Police department for action at their end.

- Who is responsible for the same?
- Who will be responsible for any misuse of my number for any illegal activity?
- What steps Vodafone will take to help me in this scenario?
- A detailed call list of the usage of my number in this duration is required by me.

Vodafone people have deducted Rs.30/- from my main balance, i did't activate any service, Thanks for giving Vodafone Customer Care Numbers and E-mail IDs
